What type of research are you conducting during your REU?

"My research is focused on designing materials and devices with nitric oxide to promote biocompatibility and resist infection."

What are you enjoying about your REU experience – and how do you think the experience will benefit you in the future?

"The REU opportunity renewed my passion for research through this immersive learning experience. Working collaboratively and independently to explore new scientific findings allowed me to expand my lab, research and communication skills. These experiences allowed me to fine tune my research interests and pursue future graduate studies."

What are your impressions of UGA and Athens and have you enjoyed your time here? 

"I really enjoyed exploring UGA and Athens. The university and college town are unique and feel like home. The various professional development and social activities provided an opportunity to network, learn about new fields of research, create meaningful relationships and explore an amazing part of the country."
