Courageous Conversations
The College of Engineering is introducing a new program designed to promote candid and engaged discussions on how to create a more inclusive engineering college at the University of Georgia. This initiative – Courageous Conversations: Creating an Environment of Belonging and Inclusion in the UGA Engineering Community – will be a monthly, small-group discussion facilitated by UGA’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development. Each discussion will be structured to allow all voices to be heard. Over time, our goal is to better understand what we can do to enhance the diversity, equity, and inclusivity of every aspect of our college.
The first four sessions are scheduled for the dates and times below and additional monthly Conversations will be added in the fall. The Conversations are open to current students, faculty, and staff of the college, as well as members of our Advisory Board and our Alumni Board. Each session will be limited to 10 participants to ensure a robust and vibrant discussion.
Please use this reservation link if you are interested in participating in one of these sessions. Since participation is limited, a separate email invitation will be sent out once the attendees for each session have been confirmed. Please direct any questions to Mike Wooten, Director of Communications, at mwooten@uga.edu.
