Driftmier Engineering Center Renovation

Over the next two years, the University of Georgia College of Engineering will upgrade its facilities to enhance the student experience. The project will provide more space for collaboration, more space for design, more space for teamwork, more space to be an engineer. 

Phase I of the work will create 20,000 square feet of new instructional laboratory space in the Driftmier Engineering Center. By fall 2019, the College will have new labs to support all undergraduate and graduate programs. The new facilities will include:

  • Biological and Energy System Laboratory
  • Cell Culture Laboratory
  • Environmental Systems Laboratory
  • Materials Processing Laboratory
  • Systems Design Laboratory
  • Systems Simulation Laboratory
  • Thermal-Fluid Systems Laboratory
  • Undergraduate Discovery Laboratory
